Lawlerisms

For Ralph Lawler’s final season with the LA Clippers, Carmax teamed up with MKTG to produce a series of animated shorts in which Ralph covers the origin stories of his classic catchphrases (which were called “Lawlerisms”) and basketball stories. These videos ran on the Clipper’s youtube and social channels, as well as in the Staples Center jumbotron during select games. The illustration and motion design was a collaboration between myself and our creative director. These illustrated pieces were incorporated into giveaways during his retirement ceremony.
